Friday Night Lights!
The Daily Seninel lays it all out:

As far as rivalries go, Lufkin's Abe Martin Stadium is the place to be Friday night.

The Nacogdoches Dragons take the trip south on Hwy. 59 to battle the Lufkin Panthers in the 89th edition of the Angelina River rivalry.

According to the latest edition of Texas Monthly, the Lufkin-Nacogdoches rivalry is the best in Texas.

But the Dragons have a way to go to get even with the Panthers, who lead the series 61-21-6.

The two teams are currently on opposite ends of the spectrum.

The Panthers are off to a roaring 2-0 start after a 37-14 win over Dallas Kimball.

The Dragons are searching for answers after being shut out 14-0 by Dayton.

Nacogdoches will need to adjust early against a Lufkin team that is ranked No. 2 in Class 5A in the Associated Press poll. The Panthers are also ranked No. 4 in the country by USA Today and No. 7 in Sports Illustrated.

Panthers Are Hot, Tickets Too
This article in the LDN notes that Panter tickets are a hot cmmodity:

People who have season tickets for Lufkin Panthers home football games can pick them up beginning Monday. People who don't have them, but want them, may be out of luck.

With the Panthers ranked in several preseason polls as Texas' best high school football team, interest in tickets may be at an all-time high. There are only 3,501 season tickets, according to ticket manager Barbara Davis, and all of those belong to someone.

Reunion Weekend's football game will be played against the Nacogdoches Dragons.
